Our Process:

Consult

Deep dive into your history, complaints and previous treatments
Learn and discuss WHY previous treatments didn’t work
Uncover the true SOURCE of your complaint(s) and HOW they developed
Learn realistic strategies to self-manage and self-treat
*Identify the systems, structures and functions to be Evaluated*

Evaluation

Examine, measure and test the systems, structures and functions identified in the Consult
Create the clinical Assessment (your situational summary)
Develop the Treatment Plan (what order to treat and how)

Treatment

A Pre-test is performed to measure a specific, challenging/painful movement or position
Hands-on, integrated manual therapy treatment is performed (based on the eval)
A Post-test is performed to highlight the changes from the pre-test
Results are measurable – every session

Consultation vs Consult+Evaluation – which to book?

At Move Physio, we do things VERY differently…which is why we are so successful with complex cases and people who haven’t made progress with the standard approaches of medical care or therapy.

To begin your journey with us, the most crucial first step is to gain a thorough understanding of how you got to this particular place…which starts with a very extensive intake form.

Please be sure to fill this form out with as much detail as possible so we can be prepared to discuss all aspects of your medical history – and how they may relate to your current complaints.

The GOAL of this discussion is for us to make any possible connections in your history and figure out the contributing CAUSES of your complaints.

After this discussion, you’ll have a ton of new information about WHY things have developed…and then understand what movements, structures – or even organs need to be evaluated.

We have a couple of options to get this process started:

Option 1: Virtual or Live Consultation

The 1st option is to schedule a 45-minute Virtual or Live Consultation as your first appointment. This allows us to have the preliminary discussion about your history and determine whether our approach is a good fit for you.

If we decide to move forward, your next appointment would be an in-person, one-on-one, 45-minute Evaluation. This is where we would assess everything we discussed, develop your exact plan of care and we would begin treatment and make some changes!

Option 2: Consult + Evaluation

The second option is for those who want to get started as quickly as possible: we offer a one-on-one, 90-minute Consultation + Evaluation.

This is a long appointment that offers us all the time needed to thoroughly discuss your history, identify the potential CAUSES of your complaints; assess all the relevant structures, movements, organs and tissues

…AND we can get a significant amount of treatment done – all in one visit.

We dont recommend booking a 45-minute evaluation without doing a Virtual Consultation first…We wouldnt have enough time to begin treatment – and the hands-on treatment is how we make the measurable progress we expect with EVERY session!
